What to log (high-signal fields)
The goal is consistency. A simple, boring log beats a detailed log you abandon.
Quick rule: pick one severity scale (0–10 or mild/moderate/severe) and keep it fixed for at least 2–3 weeks.
Injection context
- Injection date/time (and whether it was early/late)
- Dose (as prescribed) + whether it changed this week
- Injection site (and rotation note)
Constipation tracking
- Start time (when you first noticed symptoms)
- Severity (your fixed scale)
- Bowel movement notes (simple: “none / small / normal”; avoid over-detail)
- Associated symptoms (bloating, cramps, reflux, nausea)
- Context (travel, stress, sleep, meal timing, dehydration)
- What you tried (neutral notes only — not recommendations)
Safety note: If symptoms feel severe or unusual for you, treat that as a real signal. This page is a tracking template, not medical guidance.
Constipation log template (copy/paste)
Copy this into Notes, a spreadsheet, or track it directly in Jabbit.
| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| Date | 2026-06-01 |
| Last injection | 2026-05-30 09:00 (on schedule) |
| Dose context | Same as last week (no change) |
| Symptom start | 2026-05-31 afternoon |
| Severity scale | 0–10 |
| Severity | 6/10 |
| Bowel movement note | None today |
| Context | Travel day, low fluids, late meal |
| What you tried | Extra water + walking |
| Notes | Also mild reflux; sleep was short |
Pattern checks (non-medical)
- Timing cluster: does it show up ~24–48 hours after injection?
- Week-to-week shift: does it change on dose-change weeks?
- Travel effect: does it reliably worsen on travel / disrupted sleep weeks?
- Meal timing: does “late/heavy” eating correlate with worse symptoms?
When to switch to a general side-effect log
If your week includes multiple symptoms (nausea + reflux + fatigue + constipation), use the broader log so everything stays in one timeline.
Retatrutide side-effect log → track multiple symptoms together
